“Is it going to be Halloween themed?” / “Should I wear a costume?”

Answer

NO, it will not be Halloween themed. After giving it a lot of thought, we’ve come to the conclusion that we wouldn’t be able to have the wedding we envision and celebrate Halloween at the same time without it becoming more of a Halloween party rather than the wedding we’ve always dreamed of. However, we will be incorporating SOME Halloween props in the photo booth. So, please do not show up in a Halloween costume.

“Where even is Smithville,TX?”

Answer

Austin Travelers: Smithville is located roughly 40mi east of Downtown Austin. Once you make it to Bastrop, you’ll be about 15 minutes away from the venue. Houston Travelers: Smithville is roughly a 2hr drive from Downtown Houston. Once you make it to La Grange, you’ll be about 23 minutes away from the venue.

“Will there be any activities for the kids?”

Answer

We’re so glad you asked!! While we truly adore your little ones, after some heavy thinking, we’ve decided we would like to make our special day an ADULTS-ONLY (18+) celebration. We mean no offense to anyone regarding this request because, really, our view is quite the opposite…The way we see it, we believe each and every one of you deserves at least ONE night out, worry-free. (Grown-ups should be allowed to have fun, too!) With that said, we warmly encourage you to allow yourselves to enjoy this special day that we’ve been looking so forward to celebrating with you, stress-free & kid-free. (Besides, what kid WANTS to be at a wedding on Halloween?) :-)

“Can I bring my boyfriend/girlfriend?”

Extended answer: As much as we’d love to say yes to everybody…If we do not know them, or have only met them 1-2 times, we hope you understand that our wedding day might not being the best time to get to know them, but we look forward to in the future!
