We first crossed paths when Alyssa started a new job where Sloan had been working. Her coworker had asked what she liked in guys and said "I know the perfect guy for you". This happened to be Sloan. Without even seeing him and meeting him, Alyssa formed a huge crush. There first day working together Alyssa went to introduce herself which led to Sloan walking right past her with no acknowledgement. Alyssa decided to try again and they started to talk... which led to Alyssa making the first move to ask him out on a fishing date. He then again did not acknowledge her, but that did not stop her. She then again asked him to go fishing which led to her getting picked up for that date, going fishing, and to many more fishing dates.
Shortly after a year of dating, Sloan had grown into his roll at his job that led him to move to Nashville, Tennessee. With many trips back down to Jacksonville, Florida and trips up to Nashville, the long distance between them came to a close when Sloan moved back down to Florida at the end of April 2026.
