How is COVID-19 affecting the wedding?

Answer

We have postponed our wedding from October 3, 2020 to September 18, 2021. This will give us an opportunity to celebrate with all our loved ones.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes. We are registered on Zola and Amazon. You can find links to both our registries on our website.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at The Hotel Lafayette. We recommend staying there since our wedding will be right downstairs. We've also reserved a room block at the Hampton Inn & Suites Reservations can be made by mentioning the Marzka-Sliwa Wedding or using the links on the travel page of our website. Contact information and other hotel options can be found there as well.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Since our wedding will be held at a hotel no transportation to the venue will be provided. If you are staying at a different hotel we recommend using Uber or Lyft.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate the number of seats reserved for you. Due to venue size, our guest list can not accommodate more than those specifically invited.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, all 47 of them, we've limited invitations for those 18 and under to only immediate family. Please refer to your invitation to see how many seats are reserved for your family. If you need assistance securing childcare, please contact Sam.

Am I invited to any other events?

Answer

Separate invitations will be sent out for all other wedding events. If you received an invitation, we hope to see you there!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding is a special occasion, so dress to impress! The official dress code is semi-formal. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits, cocktail dresses, and jumpsuits.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the ceremony by 4:15 we will be starting at 4:30 exactly.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a large parking garage on the corner of Washington St. and Eagle St. The garage less than a block from the hotel. Guests staying at The Hotel at The Lafayette may also choose to use valet parking for $20 a night.

Can I take pictures and/or post photos on social media?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and enjoy the moment with us. If you would like to take photos at any other point during our big day, please feel free. Make sure to use the hashtag #SamHitTheZackpot if you post photos on social media!

Will there be dancing and entertainment?

Answer

Of course! We will have a DJ and a photobooth. We expect to see your best moves out on the dance floor all night long!

Will there be food and drinks provided?

Answer

Absolutely! It is our mission to make you stuffed! We will have an open bar, appetizers, a delicious meal, lots of desserts, and even some late night snacks.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know ahead of time so we can inform the caterer.

But you are already married, why should I come?

Answer

Our encore ceremony will be just as special as the original. We hope to get the opportunity to celebrate our love and commitment to each other with all of our loved ones. COVID does not get to take this celebration from us. Although we are already married we hope you choose to come celebrate with us
