We met in one of the most romantic possible settings to ever exist ; a wing sauce stained kitchen. Justin was working as a line cook and Alicia returned post pandemic as a bartender. Justin likes to joke that he wasn't too sure at first but we all know he wouldn't have drank that many bitter Old Fashions and listen to that many hours of summaries of Zac Efron's documentary if he wasn't. Finally on July 27th 2020, after a month of back and forth, Justin took Alicia on their first date to Five Churches Brewing in New Britain , CT.
So much for not being too sure. Just under a year after Justin and Alicia met, Justin began to plan the most prefect proposal. There is not much more important to Alicia and Justin then family, and sharing time with their loved ones. As it became safe to travel, Alicia and Justin planned a trip to visit Justin's Grandfather in Jenson Beach, Florida. As Alicia is typically the planner of the relationship, she was absolutely positive that she would not be getting proposed to this weekend; When could he have had time to talk to her parents? He hadn't bought a ring? and he had said October! That did not stop Alicia's joke on the trip down much to Justin's anxious dismay. On July 3, 2021 Justin gave Alicia the shock of her life. In true Alicia fashion, she was laying in bed with an eye mask on when Justin knelt next to her, and in the sweetest most us way asked to spend the rest of our lives in a beautifully authentic partnership. Alicia was overjoy to say yes. While they shared the news with their closest family and friends, and of course Grandpa, Justin and Alicia spent the rest of the weekend celebrating with absolute bliss. Fun Fact; July 4th weekend is already a special Torello/ Snide family weekend as July 1st is Jessica's Birthday, July 2nd is Mike's Birthday and July 4th is Julie & Dennis's anniversary. Adding is July 3rd is a full house. Yahtzee!
