Eric and Jess started as high-school friends - Eric with a not-so-secret crush and Jess pretending not to notice while he showed his affection by being endlessly annoying (some things never change). Years later, life took them in different directions, and they spent a few seasons apart. After Jess’s beloved yellow lab, Maverick, passed in 2022, the universe nudged them back toward each other, because dating apps clearly weren’t going to do it. One burger and beer later, it felt like no time had passed. And the rest… well, let’s just say Eric’s still a little annoying.
