Morgan's Perspective: My mom, Nana, McKenna, and I were having a girls weekend in October 2021, partying it up with the college kids on Glenwood Ave, more specifically at a bar called "Tin Roof". I was upstairs with my friends while the rest of my family was downstairs listening to a live band. I decided to come back down and reunite with them, when I noticed them talking to a group of strangers. One of these strangers (who we now know as Jake) came up to me and complimented my smile, which led to name exchanging, good conversation, and my mom repeatedly telling my roommate, Ashley, to not let me leave without getting his number. Next thing you know we are at the State Fair for our first date and have not left each other's sides since! Jake's Perspective: I was at a bar with my friends in Raleigh, celebrating one of their deployments, and walked away to get a drink. As I turn around to look for them, I see a woman (who we now know as Nana) wearing my friend's cowboy hat and I wonder what I missed. I rejoin the group and the first thing the two new women say is how cute my dimples are and bring a younger girl (McKenna) around to compare dimples. I was very confused but they all seemed nice so we continued conversation. They then start saying "you HAVE to meet my daughter/ you HAVE to meet my Granddaughter" but she was not around. We continue to talk when I see a girl walking my direction and I just knew I had to talk to her. I stopped what I was doing, walked up to her and said "you have a beautiful smile", to which she replied with an even bigger smile and by the end of the night we had already planned to meet again. I only found out later that she was the daughter/ granddaughter they wanted me to meet in the first place. Needless to say, we are grateful that God brought us together and are excited to see what He has in store for us! Love you all!
