We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior to the time listed on your invitation to find your seat.
Our dress code is Semi-Formal. You don't need to buy an expensive floor length gown or rent a tux for our wedding - we just ask that you dress nicely! We suggest bringing a coat to wear during the short outdoor cocktail hour. We ALSO suggest wearing shoes you feel comfortable dancing in ;)
Due to space limitations of the venue, we were required to stick to a strict guest count. This means that unless your invitation and RSVP card state so, you may not bring an extra guest or plus-one.
The ceremony and reception will be indoors. The cocktail hour will take place outdoors while the ceremony space is flipped for the reception.
It was 70 degrees last year on December 3, but the historical average is 47 degrees. Fingers crossed!
Your kids are invited and welcome to attend! Your decision to bring your children is up to you. We do want to caution alcohol will be served and uncensored music may played as the night progresses. The number of reserved seats on your invitation includes all children in your family that would require their own seat at the table.
The drive to the venue is pretty easy, with only a few turns off highway 89. Transportation will not be provided to and from the venue, so please plan safe travel to and from the event prior to attending.
We plan to keep the ceremony short and sweet! Following the ceremony, you will exit the venue to a cocktail area to the side of the venue. Once the space is ready, you will return to the venue and find your seat at your assigned table. Following first dances and speeches, there will be a buffet-style dinner served. After dinner, the dance floor will open up for everyone to show off their moves! We plan to have a fake "send-off" around 8 pm so that guests that wish to leave earlier than 10 pm may easily do so. The DJ will wrap up the night at 10 pm.
Yes, there is plenty of parking in a large gravel lot behind the venue. The lot is gravel but there is a wooden walkway through the trees to make it easier on the ladies! Guests may be dropped off closer to the venue if walking is difficult.
There will be a buffet of southern comfort food provided for dinner along with dessert. Sweet tea and water will be available, along with a cocktail bar that will be serving beer and wine.
Yes, beer and wine will be served free of charge.
Yes, there are rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn in Dobson and Mount Airy. More information can be found on the Travel page.
