Walker and I first matched on Hinge in December 2024 and even planned a date, with him driving to meet me. But the night before, I let my nerves get the best of me and canceled — because the idea of meeting a complete stranger felt a little terrifying at the time (something we laugh about now). Almost a year later, in October 2025, I was wedding dress shopping with my friend Madalyn when I got a notification that Walker and I had matched again. At that point, it felt like more than just coincidence... like maybe this was something I wasn’t supposed to miss twice. So, this time, I decided to see it through. Not long after, we went on our first official date at Commissary BBQ... and from that night on, everything just felt easy. What started as taking a second chance quickly turned into something steady, genuine, and incredibly meaningful. We spent a few months doing long distance while I was in school, which wasn’t always easy, but it showed us just how much we were willing to choose each other, even when it was hard. Somewhere along the way, Walker became not just my boyfriend, but my best friend and the person I feel most at home with. Looking back, I’m so thankful I got a second chance, because it led me to him. Now, we’re so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people on November 8th, 2026.
