Oceanic

This is where we will host our wedding reception! We will have the entire second floor privately for our reception, but the first floor has both an air-conditioned space for their public restaurant, and an outside but covered, beachside bar and dining next to the Pompano Beach pier. They have a key lime creme brulee that is one of Bri's favorite sweet treats, and this is overall a great place to go if you're looking for a swanky Floridian meal.

Beach House

We both used to frequent this restaurant when we both used to live a few blocks away at separate times before we met. This restaurant is where Slade laid out his earliest intentions to marry me, and build a life together. It is air conditioned but often times will have all the doors/windows open to take in that sea breeze; the building sits right on the beach next to the Pompano Beach pier. It is a great spot for brunch but stays open into the dinner hour. There is a large bar with beautiful view on the second floor. It is also walkable distance to the wedding locations.

Pompano Beach Fisher Family Pier

Walking/sightseeing = FREE $6 per person to fish (bait shop available on site) This is where Slade grew up making memories and friends. The view is breathtaking both of the coastline and into the beautiful, blue water on our beaches.

Lucky Fish

This is probably the most "Florida" casual restaurant to eat on our list, that is walkable distance to the wedding locations. They have a massive, completely outdoor tiki bar, with every thing from a tropical frosty beverages to chicken fingers and burgers. They often have live music and sporting events playing on their t.v. screens. There is plenty of family-friendly seating too, perfect for a beach day meal, and a few steps from the beach playground and Pompano beach pier. Snap the perfect Instagram post on their swings out back, or warm up next to their fire pits out front...

Water Playground/Lawn Pompano Beach

This is a great spot to soak in some sun with little ones without having to touch the sand, or to have a picnic. There are plenty of restaurants around, and even a couple shops to get ice cream or buy towels/sunblock/etc. including the Pompano Beach Snack Shack a few feet away, which has bathrooms. Bri, James, and Charlie used to walk here and spend the day cooling off in the splash pad, kicking a soccer ball around on the astroturf, and having a bite to eat al fresco. This spot is walkable distance from the wedding locations, and also a great spot to park for beach access as you can walk right onto the sand from this area too.

9 Face Sushi Cafe Inc

This is one of Slade's favorite places to eat. They have all different types of oriental dishes but are most famous for their delicious sushi. We usually sit outside as it is a great place to people watch, and a nice place to spend time outside as it is close to the beach. It is also walkable distance from the wedding locations.

Carlucci's Brick Oven Trattoria & Pizzeria

One of Bri's favorite Italian restaurants. The food is made from scratch by the boss himself, and it is a family owned and operated business. Great spot for Italian food and drinks al fresco, or for ordering a stress-free pizza delivery to the Hilton hotel. It is also a walkable distance restaurant from the wedding location!

The Foundry

This is Bri's favorite spot for an Old Fashioned, and a delicious spin on most favorite comfort foods. There is a funky, "steampunk" almost vibe, with fun adult beverages, but a family-friendly atmosphere too. Air-conditioned seating is available inside, as well as umbrella-covered seating outside, and a large bar between both. They are open for brunch through late night cocktail. This is a short walk over the Atlantic Blvd. bridge from the wedding locations. Don't forget to check out the beautiful mural Pompano had done on the underneath of the Atlantic bridge from the east side; it is stunning! Free self parking is available here as well.

Houston's

This is a classic option for dinning as most are familiar with it as it is a national chain. You can't go wrong with a glass of wine and the New York Strip either in the air-conditioned dining hall with a wall of windows to the inter-coastal waterway, or dockside under an umbrella watching the boats float by. This is also a short walk over the bridge from the wedding locations and you might even be able to see the Atlantic bridge mural from where you're seated on this breezy but sophisticated property. Sands Harbor Resort & Marina

The Sands Harbor Resort is a great hotel option for our guests (See Travel section). The poolside bar and grill has $3 Taco Tuesdays that we love to do for lunch dates, and there is live music on Friday and Saturday poolside which is just a pinch of the lovely atmosphere the Sands has to enjoy. The Marina has pretty much everything you could want to do out on the water. This includes: jet ski and boat rentals, snorkel / dive tours, glass bottom boat rides, sailboat rides, fishing charters, etc. You do not have to stay at the Sands Harbor Resort to access these activity options, which is also great for our guests who may prefer to stay somewhere else but still have an adventurous itch.

Sushi Lab

A small but fun little gem in the Residence Inn Pompano Beach. They do have an American meal menu for kids. Great atmosphere, but (vallet parking is the only option even if you are staying in the hotel). A bit of a distance from the wedding locations but on the Pompano Cricut shuttle route. Indoor air-conditioned and outdoor beachside seating available.

Seaside Grill

This spot is tucked away inside the Lighthouse Cove Resort, but it is another favorite spot of Slade and Bri. Again we both lived nearby, and would grab drinks at the tiki hut before and after we met. Seaside Grille is a little less causal but has plenty of seafood options for those of you out-of-towners interested in getting a true "taste of Florida". Take a nice walk on the more private stretch of the beach out back afterwards to get a closer view of the Hillsboro lighthouse...

Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse

Take a tour of the infamous Hillsboro lighthouse and its museum to learn a little about the area that we call home! There is a boat ride out to the lighthouse grounds; the museum is located in Hillsboro Inlet Park.

Bambú Juice Bar

If clean and green eating is more your style this is the place for you! They have an extensive juice bar, wraps, and salads. This is one of James' and Charlie's favorite places to go for ice cream, which they used to walk to when Bri lived nearby. The inlet park is a great spot to take food to next door to each and watch the boats go in and out of the inlet or let the kids play on the playground. There is self parking at this location and at the inlet park next door. This is a very small food spot so it is encouraged to grab and go as often there will not be much space to eat on site if there are other customers, but there is seating both inside/ air-conditioned and outside under the overhang of the building.

Butterfly World

Butterfly World is a beautiful garden full of butterflies, birds, and other fantastic creatures that inhabit our Sunshine state. This is a mostly outdoors park so it can be a little heated during a typical Florida day but it is world the exploration. It is a definite drive from the wedding location on the beach but if you have your own vehicle and/or little ones this is a fun place to explore.

Everglades Holiday Park Airboat Tours and Rides

If you want to see our glorious Everglades habitat and/or an American alligator this is the place for you! This is also a definite drive from the wedding locations, but this property is a unique place we here in Florida call the swamp! You can take a guided airboat ride through the Everglades to see not only reptiles like alligators, but also birds and plants unlike any other in the world. James and Charlie enjoy going here and have been with Briana on numerous occasions. You have to make a reservation now from what I understand so please call the number listed before making the trip.

Playground Pompano Beach

This is a great spot for kids and adults alike. It is steps from the beach but off the sand. There is plenty of equipment for the kids to play on, and a large exercise area next to that for adults to get in some exercise too. This is walkable to the wedding locations; it is also near a group of restaurants, bathrooms, and shops by the Pompano pier for when it is time to regroup and recharge.

Xtreme Action Park

Here you will find every possible indoor activity you could possibly want to do for the entire family. They also have a restaurant and bar on property. This is a great place to go on a rainy day.
