The year was 2009 and it was Walt and Skyler's freshman year of high school. The two hyper-compatible teens wound up meeting over Winter break in a moment of wild coincidence. Both of their families had decided to spend a segment of their time off vacationing at the same ski resort. Walt and Sky had their big meet at a very lame youth karaoke night the resort was holding, which their parents had forced them both to go to. The connection was instant, solidified when the two were coerced into performing a duet. Once back in school, the two were shocked to discover they actually went to the same high school but ran in completely separate circles. Their infatuation grew, but the bond threatened the established social order of the school because Walt was known as a star athlete while Skyler was more of a book-smart loner prepping for the scholastic decathlon. They would find their middle ground and unite the school, as well as their love, by performing in the big school play. Sure, it's a story that's been told a thousand times, but hey, most of the good ones have.
