It's happening!

Skyler and Katy knew each other for a couple of years before dating. Skyler was a coworker and friend of Katy's older brother Jeremy, and Jeremy would occasionally invite his little sister to parties at his house. Skyler would eye Katy from across the room, but didn't make a move until they were both single at the same time in early March 2015. They went on their first date to Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar and hit it off right away. For Skyler, it was love at first sight with Katy. She took some wooing, but after a couple months of dating, they both exchanged "I love you's" and began planning their future together. They were inseparable for the next couple of years. At the end of September 2017, Katy had been planning a surprise 25th birthday trip for Skyler to Palm Springs, unaware that he had known all along what they were doing and had a surprise of his own planned. On the evening of September 29, 2017, at Tommy Bahama's restaurant in Palm Desert, a wonderful meal was had, followed by a celebration dessert. The cake was supposed to say "Happy Birthday," or so Katy thought, but when it came out it said "Congratulations!" Katy was puzzled by the cake, but was sure it was a mistake and wasn't worried about it. The restaurant employees and Skyler, on the other hand, knew what the message meant and after muttering a quick profession of his love, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Instantly, tears poured from Katy's eyes as she said "Yes!" People from another table told Katy to turn around, and there she saw their parents witnessing the most magical moment of their lives...
