This is where Skyler and Andrew had their first date and where their love story began. They spent the entire day together, ending up in Gruene for an unforgettable evening. Their first stop was the antique shop, where they wandered the aisles, laughing until Skyler cried thanks to Andrew’s goofy humor and infectious personality. From there, they headed to the General Store, where Skyler literally “booty bumped” Andrew out of the way so she could pay for the goodies they picked out. As the night went on, they explored more of Gruene, visiting historic Gruene Hall, where they danced around the floor before ending the evening with dinner. This charming little town quickly became one of their favorite places. With its rich history, unique shops, cozy restaurants, and the oldest dance hall in Texas, Gruene holds a special place in their hearts. It’s not just a fun destination—it’s where they felt something new, deep, and real for the first time. It’s where they truly began to fall in love.
Clay Casa New Braunfels
This sweet little studio is a place where you can paint pottery and let your imagination come to life. It's been close to Skyler’s heart since she was a child—her Aunt Hannah would bring her and her siblings here during spring breaks and summer days, creating memories that still make her smile. Years later, she brought Andrew here on one of their weekly date nights, and it quickly became a favorite. They’ve returned many times since, and even created personalized wedding plates for each other here —pieces they'll cherish forever.
Sip-N-Putt
This local mini golf course has become a go-to spot for Skyler and Andrew. Whether they’re short on date night ideas, needing a break from the busyness of life, or just wanting a little fresh air, this place always delivers. It’s a full 18-hole course, and one of their favorite things about it is how the owner is always adding something new—it’s never quite the same twice. They love strolling through the course, discovering the latest updates, grabbing a drink, and simply enjoying each other’s company in a place that feels both fun and familiar.
Landa Park
This local park in New Braunfels offers a wide variety of activities, including hiking trails, playgrounds, a train ride, an aquatics center, volleyball courts, and even a full golf course. Skyler and Andrew especially enjoy spending their free weekends here. They love exploring the hiking trails with their dog, Riley and they will often even pack a lunch and relax in the grass, enjoying the chance to watch and feed the nearby wildlife.
