We're Getting Married!

Our story began the very modern way—with a Hinge match. What didn’t feel very modern, though, was how quickly it all became real. Less than a day later, Vince mentioned he was heading out with friends to Moonshine Flats downtown. Coincidentally (or so it seemed at the time), Skylar and her friend visiting from out of town ended up at the same bar that night. Even still, Skylar was nervous about meeting in a loud, crowded bar setting. When Vince called to meet up inside, Skylar hesitated—so her friend stepped in, answered the phone, and helped orchestrate the introduction that Skylar wasn’t quite ready to make herself. What was supposed to be a quick, casual meet-up turned into an entire night spent talking, laughing, and getting to know each other in a group setting that somehow felt surprisingly easy. The conversation never ran out, and by the end of the night, it was clear there was something special there. A few days later, we had our first official date—making homemade calamari together. Somewhere between flour-dusted counters and YouTube tutorials, Vince found himself googling how to clean calamari and explaining that you have to pull it apart…only for Skylar to jump in with a confident “like this,” already elbows-deep and getting her hands dirty. Vince likes to say that was the moment he knew—this was his person. From there, the rest really is history. We’ve been inseparable ever since, learning how to sail together, traveling and exploring new places, squeezing in countless camping trips, and building a life full of adventure. Along the way, we became dog parents to our Aussiedoodle, Rivian, who quickly took over our hearts (and our schedules). What started as a swipe turned into a love story filled with laughter, curiosity, and a shared joy for doing life side by side. And we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
