It all started with a swipe… Skye and Pat met in the summer of 2020, during the height of the pandemic, through a dating app. Little did they know that a simple swipe would lead to a life-changing adventure together. With limited options for indoor activities, their early dates naturally took place outdoors—an environment that would go on to shape the foundation of their relationship. They spent their time hiking, picnicking, and exploring their home national park, while filling the in-between moments with daily FaceTime calls that lasted all summer long. From the very beginning, they bonded over a shared love for travel and the outdoors, a connection that soon turned into a tradition of annual road trips across the country. On their very first date, Skye and Pat discovered they shared the same dream: road-tripping around the U.S. and exploring the national parks of the West. That dream truly came to life during their 2022 road trip through Colorado and Utah, where their love for western mountains took root. Camping, hiking, and discovering new landscapes became more than a hobby—it became the heartbeat of their relationship. Over the years, they’ve explored countless incredible places together, and the tradition of yearly road trips has only grown stronger. At the end of their New England road trip in 2024, Pat popped the question at Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine—marking the beginning of their next chapter. On June 24, 2026, Skye and Pat will return to one of their favorite places—Grand Teton National Park—to say “I do,” surrounded by the breathtaking peaks they love and the support of their parents and siblings. While their ceremony will be small and intimate, the celebration is just getting started. Mark your calendars and join them as they embark on their biggest adventure yet.
