As you settle into Wolftrap Farms, you will notice its outside, in the mountains, in the cold, in a pavilion with a thin wall. We hope the warmth of this night - the love, the laughter, the bonfires - is enough to keep the chill away. But just incase, there are heaters scattered throughout the pavilion, extra blankets for snuggling, and highly recommend bringing a nice coat with some mittens. Please stay warm, stay close, and maybe stay for some s'mores with hot cocoa. Because while love may be an eternal flame burning inside... Virginia winters are not to be underestimated.
Since most of you will be traveling that day, keep it cozy and warm. I would suggest some jeans and a good sweater. We will have the fire going and heaters.
Attire - Elegant Winter Festive Cozy, Romantic, and Layered. Velvet, wool, jewel tones, furs, tweed. Dresses and suits that make you feel beautiful by firelight and feel warm enough to enjoy the outdoors. This is an indoor/outdoor winter wedding with a bonfire and heaters and candles - but it's still December in Virginia, so please dress warmly and in layers. Thrifted furs, capes, vintage coats, boots, tights, mittens - we encourage you to get creative. Our palette is inspired by Pride and Prejudice - rich colors, like plums, dusky roses, deep navy, mahogany, even black. Mixes of textures like tweed, wool, and velvet to keep you warm. Dress to celebrate, not to suffer.
While the bride and groom will be providing lots of standard beer, red wine, white wine, and champagne. We ask our guests to bring their own liquor. If there are preferences for anything, we would also suggest you bring enough for yourself. We will try our best to have a variety of mixers available too - but if there is anything you specifically want, feel free to bring it! Thank you!
