FAQs

Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on June 27th, 2026 at 3:00pm at Second Reformed Church in Zeeland. The cocktail hour and reception will be held at Port 393 in Holland.

Question

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

Plan to arrive at least half an hour before the ceremony begins to find a seat (2:30 PM)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Plan on cocktail attire. Suits, formal jumpsuits, cocktail dresses (knee length or longer), and formal separates are all welcome.

Question

What colors should we avoid wearing?

Answer

White of course! All jokes aside, the bridal party will be wearing light blue, so please avoid dresses that are this color.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While little ones are typically a delight, our wedding will be an adults only celebration to ensure everyone’s complete peace of mind.

Question

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Guests will be responsible for their own transportation from the ceremony to the reception.

Question

Where should guests park if driving?

Answer

You can park in the parking lot of Second Reformed, otherwise, there is plenty of street parking in the area. The reception venue, Port 393, also offers a parking lot, with an additional lot next door.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are grateful enough for your presence! However, if you’d like to gift us something, we’re registered at Zola, Amazon, and Costco. Please see our registry tab on our website.

Question

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re having an unplugged ceremony, so please keep all phones and cameras away. We have an excellent photographer who can capture all the beautiful moments (with even better quality than a phone). Don't be shy to ask us for a photo with you during the reception!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation includes a “+ guest,” then yes, otherwise, we are keeping our guest list limited.

Question

Can we ship gifts to you directly?

Answer

We will have a card and gift table at our reception, but you may also send us gifts directly. Please be advised that we will be away from our apartment from June 20 to July 7, and we would hate for the package to be stolen.

Question

Will Skylar be changing her last name?

Answer

Skylar will be hyphenating her last name to DeWitt-Batt legally (and scientifically), but can be socially known as Skylar Batt.

Question

Will there be vegetarian and gluten free meal options for the reception?

Answer

Yes! Our caterer provides options for dietary restrictions.
