Skylar and Preston first met in high school where they both ran for the cross country team - Skylar a freshman and Preston a junior. They shared some of the same friend groups but never really thought of one another as anything more than a teammate, just a background character in each other's lives. Their moms will tell you they knew from the start that Skylar and Preston were going to end up together one day, but their story didn't officially begin until March of 2023. They met up on a whim when they found out they both had tickets to a concert each of them was planning on attending alone. The night began with drinks at a local brewery where they filled each other in on all the years that had passed since high school. The night ended with a rekindled friendship between them that eventually grew into the special relationship they share today.
