We first met at PJ's Coffee House in Bay Saint Louis. Alex was working behind the counter, making coffee, and Skylar happened to be there with her family—a place they visited often. Skylar noticed Alex right away but was too nervous to approach him. Instead, she wrote her number on a slip of paper and convinced her sister to give it to him. That bold little move was the start of something amazing. We began texting back and forth, and before long, we decided to go on our first date. We went to an escape room and then had sushi together in Biloxi. From that night, it felt like we’d known each other forever. Over the past two years, we’ve built so many memories together. Whether it’s sushi nights, walking around parks, or spending time at the beach, we’ve loved every moment. Now, we share a cozy little apartment in Long Beach, making the most of life together and planning for the future. When it came time to propose, Alex wanted to make it special. The Gulfport Harbor Lights Winter Festival was the perfect spot. He brought Skylar up on the Ferris wheel, and at the very top, he pulled out the ring and asked her to marry him. Skylar said yes, of course! It was such a magical moment and one we’ll never forget. And that’s how we got here today, ready to start this next chapter of our lives together.
