We're getting married!

Before they ever met in person, Uriah and Skye met on good ole' Hinge. After both being on the dating apps on and off for a year, Skye found Uriah's profile, saw that he had the words "church" written under favorite Sunday activities, and went for it. After replying to one of his prompts, she received a message back a few days later. Skye asked Uriah later what about her profile intrigued him, and he replied, "You looked normal." After being on the apps for a year, normal is all you can hope for people. It's rough out there. After a week or so of messaging, Uriah let Skye know that he was going kayaking the next day. Uriah didn't remember that Skye's profile had "kayaking" on her page as her ideal first date, but she thought he was messing with her! Skye responded hinting at her love for kayaking, so Uriah invited her to join. On June 11, 2023, Uriah and Skye met at the very spot where they will be getting married in August: Munden Point Park. If you've ever heard the story, you've heard about the chaos first hand. On the windiest day, with the weakest upperbody, and the least coordination, Skye fell out of her kayak 45 minutes into the date, and that's the moment Uriah fell in love (; 6 hours later, after wonderful conversation, dinner at Pungo Pizza, Uriah losing bad at paper football, and an exchange of numbers, these two knew they were in for a ride!
