Property Manager and Contractor

A property manager and a general contractor — building a kingdom, sealing it with a vow

Once upon a very ordinary workday, in a very ordinary building, two people crossed paths without the slightest clue that fate was quietly giggling in the background. I was an assistant property manager, busy keeping everything running smoothly. He was the general contractor, busy fixing everything I complained about. We barely exchanged more than a polite nod — just two professionals passing each other in hallways that would later become part of our love story. Fast‑forward to February 2025, when something shifted. Maybe it was the way he smiled. Maybe it was the way he carried himself. Maybe it was the universe tapping me on the shoulder saying, “Hey… pay attention.” So I did. After inviting him to my apartment for dinner several times (persistence is a love language), he finally said yes. Our first date was June 21, 2025 — a night that turned into hours of talking about life, dreams, and the kind of future you don’t usually share on a first date. Midnight came and went, and neither of us wanted the night to end. Our second date was June 27th, dinner at his place — cozy, easy, and full of that “oh no… I really like him” feeling. By July 19th, 2025, we made it official. And just like that, our love took off — fast, strong, and beautifully certain. In October, we flew to Michigan for my brother’s wedding. He met my family, and they adored him instantly (I mean… of course they did). Then, on January 20th, 2026, at Earthlight Villas in Orondo, Washington — a secluded mountaintop villa straight out of a romance movie — he proposed. It was quiet, magical, and absolutely perfect. Now here we are, planning our own wedding at Thornewood Castle — a real Tudor castle brought over from Europe piece by piece. A place full of history, charm, and just the right amount of fairytale energy for the next chapter of our story. And to think… it all started with a couple of hallway glances and a very determined dinner invitation.
