Like many modern love stories, ours started online — but from the very beginning, something about it felt different. What started as simple conversations quickly turned into a connection that neither of us had ever experienced before, the kind we had both started to wonder even existed until we met each other. At the time, I was living in Asheville, North Carolina, while hoping to eventually move to Greenville. After one trip to meet Michael, that decision suddenly became very easy. What made everything feel even more special was how naturally we fit together. On our first date, I remember jokingly saying, “You know you don’t have to like everything I like,” convinced he was just trying to impress me. But the more we talked, the more we realized it was all genuinely true. From music and fitness to our goals, values, and the kind of life we both wanted to build, everything just seemed to align effortlessly. From the beginning, being together felt easy — like we had known each other much longer than we actually had. The rest, as they say, is history.
