First of all, thank you all for being a part of our big day in one way or another. You all mean so much to us, and we cannot wait to share this occasion with you all. I cannot believe we are already planning for this day and it is fast approaching. I first met John through someone at school, and when we met, it was nothing special. We simply talked briefly, and parted ways, only to talk occasionally when we ran into each other. Then, one fateful day, John Patrick Thomas sang "Go the Distance" from Disney's Hercules, and I was a goner. Despite many obstacles in my path at the time, I always kept this cute, angelically voiced human-being in the back of my mind. Then one day, for a Friend's Valentines Get Together, after spending $5 on Treblegrams when I didn't even know what they were, I gained the courage to text him to join us. Low and behold, he came with us. The next weekend, I was home for the weekend, and I get a text from the same cute boy seeing if we could talk because he was "bored". He meant just texting; however, I ended up calling him and we talked for 8 hours straight. I was hooked. After a month of hanging out and being friends, he finally asked me out on our first date in the alcohol isle of Walmart, super romantic;) And a week after that date, we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. There have been a lot of highs and a lot of lows. But after an incredibly romantic and nerve wracking proposal in the middle of a Treblemaker's concert, we were engaged. We both vowed that day, we vow everyday, and we vow today to love each other and respect each other forever. This man is the absolute love of my life, and I cannot wait to see what the future brings. Because that was just the beginning of the story. I absolutely cannot wait to see how the rest of our story unfolds.
