How to Get to Newport

Newport is located on the beautiful Rhode Island coast. There are a few different ways to get to this special place. Flights: Providence (PVD) is the closest airport to Newport, which is about a 40 minute drive from downtown. Boston (BOS) is the next major airport and is only about an hour and 45 minutes from Newport. Train: There is an Amtrak station in Kingston, RI. This is about 30 minutes from downtown Newport. There are also shuttles/busses from these airports and the train station into Newport.
