Fly into ZIH –Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Airport Troncones is just a quick 40-minute drive from the airport — rental cars and taxis are available right when you land. The drive from the airport to troncones is a single, paved road that feels very safe. We recommend renting a car to go to restaurants and explore other surf spots. However, the town of troncones is very safe and easy to walk and bike around. We want everyone as close to the action as possible — so we recommend staying right in Manzanillo Bay or Troncones! These are the options within walking distance (~1 mile) from our venue, Casa Manzanillo. They are also walking distance to the left point break. 1. The Inn at Manzanillo Bay: https://manzanillobay.com/ Lovely 10-room hotel located on the point of Manzanillo Bay, about 1 mile south of our venue (Casa Manzanillo) (20 min walk along the beach). Restaurant on site. More pricey. 2. Casamar: https://casamartroncones.com/ Large house on the point near the Inn at Manzanillo Bay; up to 7 guests. Approx. 1 mile to our venue (Casa Manzanillo) along the beach. 3. Los Raqueros: http://www.raqueros.com/ 11 rentable suites; pet friendly. Located along Manzanillo Bay, ½ mile (10 min walk) to our venue (Casa Manzanillo). Restaurant on site. More affordable. 4.
