To our loved ones, The Illinois Governor recently announced the state’s reopening plan, which specifies that gatherings will be limited to 50 people for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, that means that celebrating with all of you in one room is not possible at this time. We are still planning to get married on July 18, but will postpone the reception until January 2021. God-willing, there will be progress made against the virus, and we can celebrate together in the New Year! Until then, know that we love you all, and appreciate the love and support you have shown us! -Erin & Nick
Erin and Nick first met through mutual friends at a sorority barn dance in Brown County during the fall of Erin’s junior year and Nick’s senior year at Indiana University. Over the next few months, Erin and Nick’s friend groups came together and spent far too much time together carousing around Kirkwood Avenue on Tuesday and Thursday nights, cheering on the Hoosiers basketball team, and celebrating the end to Nick’s time at IU. Nick and Erin remained friends after he left Bloomington, but it wasn’t until Erin graduated and moved within a few blocks of Nick in Chicago that the two began spending significant time together. Eventually, after months of cooking weeknight meals, binging the Sopranos, exploring their neighborhood, and – as far as Erin is concerned – watching entirely too many football games on Sunday, the two officially became a couple. Now, after 5+ years of making memories together in their favorite city, Nick and Erin are ready to make it official here with their closest friends and family!
