The dress code is cocktail attire. Women: break out your favorite party dress, little black dress, jumpsuits, pant suit (be mindful of shoe selection, the ground is a mixture of grass and grave. A block heal, wedge shoe, or flats are recommended). Men: a dark suit with a dress shirt or dress shirt and slacks. Tie & Jacket = bonus points!
All in one venue! The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside the Blacksmith Shop and the reception will take place inside the Blacksmith Shop. We have the entire site for the evening so feel free to explore the trains and near by buildings.
There is a large parking lot at the entrance of the train museum. You will not need to pay for parking.
Family will be asked to gather for photos. Guests will be invited to gather near the landmark smoke tower to enjoy beverages and hors d'oeuvres.
20 minutes early will give yourself time to park and walk from the entrance of the museum to the center where the ceremony will be. Ushers will be available to help guide you to the location.
As of right now, the permanent restrooms are being renovated at the museum. Lux portable restrooms have been provided and will be located near the landmark smoke tower. (The portable restrooms include ADA access). They are not immediately adjacent to the reception building but they are visible in a well lit area.
