After meeting on the not-so-popular POF dating app, it all started at Snipe's Mini Golf on a sunny, sunny day. Kevin got out of his little black Honda Civic first, followed by Sara in her silver Mazda 6. They looked over at each other for the first time. Maybe some people could say her heart skipped a beat as she knew it was love at first sight? Or maybe, one could say her heart missed a beat because of Kevin's good looks? But we are here to tell you all the god damn truth. Sara's heart skipped a few beats because she thought she was getting catfished! Why? It looked like Kevin had one eye! Well, you can all take a deep breath now. Kevin's eye opened and he won Sara over that day. Turns out, Kevin's baby blues just can't hang on sunny days! The rest of the date moved pretty serious pretty quickly as they: (1) walked around the Oxford Valley Mall together, (2) went to Kevin's parent's house to ride Kevin's quad, (3) Sara met Kevin's mom through the bathroom window as she was doing her usual weekend cleaning and as if that wasn't all enough for a first date, they proceeded to (4) drive back to Sara's house to hang out for the night where he more "formally" met Sara's mom and step-dad.

Kevin snuck over Sara's house and set up a scavenger hunt all over the backyard which lead to him laying out on the picnic table (quite comically Sara might add) next to her family's pond with a big bouquet of roses!

We applied to Barking Back Rescue and finally got accepted to take Reese home from NY after a long application process, reference checks, in-person home visit, video backyard walkthrough and an essay on "why we won't take no for an answer". Sara says it was the best birthday gift ever! It was every bit of worth it -- Our Cuppers makes our hearts so much bigger and we bring her EVERYWHERE we can. Reese will be in attendance at the wedding; that little nugget is our family!

After Sara had been shooting all week in EPIC locations across Colorado with Jordan, Kevin flew out to join for the last few days! We decided to go to Blue Lakes in Breckenridge with Jordan and her BF Jeff and swap shooting couples photos of each other. Little did Sara know, Kev had some bigger plans with Jordan and Jeff for this fun little shoot in the early AM! We started shooting in front of this whimsical little pond Kevin picked out. It was filled by a little waterfall off of the grand Blue Lake, surrounded in pines and yellow aspens. We were doing a pose where we both look off in opposite directions. The pose was taking a while, so Sara looked over at Kevin and smiled. Reaching over to kiss me, he said “I love you”. Sara said it back and then he repeated it again, “I love you so much”. Sara laughed, turning and kissing him and saying “I love you most”. Then she noticed his hand in his back pocket and it clicked instantly what was happening. Kevin got down on one knee, he said all kinds of sweet things about our future and made some jokes (Sara's fave) and then next thing they knew, THEY WERE GETTING MARRIED!

When covid hit, we couldn't imagine waiting another year to get married since had already been waiting for 2 years for our date! So we secretly planned an elopement atop Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park with our immediate family members and Reese! After exploring the park and sharing our vows, we headed to Sweet Pea's cafe for dinner, drinks, yard games and our wedding cake! It was the most amazing day for us and we can't wait to celebrate it all over again with EVERYONE!
