In April 2017, Alex made the big decision to move from the Gulf Coast of Florida to pursue a lifeguarding job at Disney. Alex started at Typhoon Lagoon and quickly became a trainer, and highly regarded by his peers. At the same time, in August 2017 Phyllis, was deciding she did not want a career in Hong Kong, and missed the sunshine state. She made the move back to Florida in October 2017. The same time, Alex accepted a transfer to the elusive Mickey's Retreat, a small park for Disney cast members only. Phyllis came back the second week of October, and Alex started the last week of October. The first couple of days in November, after Alex's training, they started working together. We're not saying it was fate... but we're also not saying it wasn't fate...
