Hit the Beach & Drive down the PCH

Start your drive a Santa Monica and make your way up North on the PCH for amazing views of the west coast beaches and mountain range. Stop at Neptune's Net for some fish and chips and beer while watching the waves.

Olvera Street

Olvera Street is a historic district in downtown Los Angeles, and a part of El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument. Los Angeles was officially founded in 1781, Olvera Street obtained its current name in 1877. Many of the Plaza District's Historic Buildings are on Olvera Street, as well as some of the oldest Los Angeles monuments including the Avila Adobe built in 1818, Pelanconi House built in 1857, and the Sepulveda House built in 1887. The tree-shaded, pedestrian mall marketplace with craft shops, restaurants and roving troubadours is a popular tourist destination. The street has been described as a "Top Five" in the "Great Streets of America" journal.

Hike to the Hollywood sign

The Mt. Hollywood Trail, offering a mind-bending side-angle view of the Sign, has two starting points in Griffith Park, the 6.5 square miles of protected wilderness AKA theThe Hollywood Sign shuttle routeheart and lungs of Los Angeles (Phone: (323) 913-4688; Hours: Sunrise – Sunset). The shorter loop hike of about three miles starts at Griffith Observatory’s parking lot, which is free and fills up early on weekends.
