Is the wedding in Mexico City?
Answer
The wedding is in a small "village" or neighborhood (borough) of Mexico City called Coyoacan. Coyoacan is about 8 miles South of Mexico City Central.

Es un evento formal pero ¡vístase cómodamente! Nota para las damas: si usan tacones para la boda, es posible que deseen traer un par de zapatos extra a la recepción ya que el piso tiene superficies irregulares.

It is a formal event but please dress comfortably! Note to the ladies: If wearing heals to the wedding, you may want to bring an extra pair of shoes to the reception as the floor has uneven surfaces

How far is the airport from the church?
Answer
The distance is about 10 miles but can take between 30 minutest to an hour or more depending on traffic.

What transportation is available from the airport?
Answer
Taxis: The airport taxis are safe and reliable. After getting your baggage, head to one of the booths to buy a ticket. They will direct you to the waiting cars. The fares are set by zones. Uber: Uber works great in Mexico City, including at the airport where it is authorized for pickup and delivery.

Should I rent a car?
Answer
It depends on your stay and how much traveling you will do. Public transportation is available if you are wanting to explore and see the sites. If you are coming from the airport or hotel to the ceremony and back than taxi or Uber might be your best bet. The traffic in Mexico City can be extremely heavy at times and parking is always an issue especially in neighborhoods like Coyoacan.

Is transportation available from the church to the reception?
Answer
Yes, after the ceremony buses will be provided for guests to get to the cocktail hour and reception. The venue is about 1.5 miles from the church and is bout a 10 to 15 minute drive depending on traffic

What are the available hotels in the area?
Answer
The Coyoacan area has many boutique hotels in the vicinity that are under 10 minutes walking distance from the church. The larger hotels are between 25 and 45 minutes drive depending on traffic.

Should I bring pesos or dollars?
Answer
It would be a good idea to bring some Pesos. There are many currency exchange locations including at the airport but the exchange rate is less favorable than in the US. All of the small markets and street food vendors only take pesos. There are a few restaurants and some other larger establishments in Coyoacan that will accept credit cards. Most hotels and authorized taxis will also accept credit cards.
