(Mattie) Our Story began at Uline. I was finishing up my summer internship with just a few weeks left when the new hires arrived- and Caleb was one of them. I remember instantly thinking he was the most good-looking guy I had ever seen. We only spoke a few times before my internship ended and I headed back to school, but he crossed my mind more than once over the next year. After graduating, I started a full time position back at Uline. On my very first day, I realized Caleb was still there. We locked eyes, and the attraction was definitely still there. Then came the surprise: Caleb had signed up to be my mentor during my onboarding process. Although we talked during our mentor meetings, both of us were too scared to make it anything more than a professional relationship. I chose to move to Wilmington, NC for an open territory a few months in to my role, leaving Caleb behind in Atlanta. It's true "absence makes the heart grow fonder". Caleb and I couldn't deny what we felt for each other which is how we made a long distance relationship work for almost a year and a half. Caleb then relocated to Charleston and when the time was right, I put in my notice at Uline, packed up my apartment, and moved with him. What started as a chance meeting between coworkers has grown into a life filled with love, laughter, and lots of shared memories. We've built a partnership that supports each other through every season, and we're so excited to start this next chapter together as husband and wife- proving that sometimes the best thing you find at work isn't the job, it's the person you meet along the way.
