It all started when Connor submitted for a role in a movie filming in Dayna’s hometown. Selected from a large pool of men, he got the gig. On a random Fall evening, with no intention of going out that night, Dayna, through circumstance or fate, ended up at the local dive bar. The typical clientele at the Red Barn looked nothing like Connor in his Canadian tuxedo. He stuck out like a sore thumb in the best way. Luckily, Dayna caught his eye too, and he made the best decision of both their lives and approached her. Not in a way she had ever been approached either. His first words were, "Do you read?" to which she responded, "Yes." They talked about books, life, and everything in between, spending the rest of the night glued together. As the months went on their connection only deepened. Connor fell in love with how devoted Dayna was to her niece and nephews, how naturally she prioritized family in the same way he always had. She loved his sincerity, how protective and accepting he was, and how unconditionally he loved her. Their relationship became a blend of adventure and comfort: spontaneous road trips and effortless travel balanced with cozy nights in. One sunset overlooking the ocean stands out among their early memories. They sat together on the second floor of an abandoned half-built mansion, having trespassed just to watch the sky burn gold. They decided to elope on their first trip to Europe together in Sicily, a place close to Dayna’s Italian heritage, somewhere they had always dreamed of visiting. On August 7th, 2025, in one of the most beautiful places in the world, a historic tuna fishery turned boutique hotel, they promised each other forever. It was a day they will never forget. And now comes the fun part. Celebrating this milestone with all those they love most is the final chapter of this part of their story. They cannot wait to come together on January 10th, honoring where they have been and looking ahead to what they are most excited for: building a home, starting a family, and creating a lifetime of new adventures together.
