Daytime highs are typically in the upper 70's, followed by chilly nights in the mid-40's. Very low humidity. Layers encouraged!
The altitude at the base of Vail is 8,150 feet above sea level, and the peak is over 10,000 feet. For guests traveling in from sea level -- try to stay extra hydrated to adjust to the elevation. Please also plan for sun protection: 30+ SPF sunscreen, hats, etc.
Uber is available, although drivers are somewhat limited in the Vail Valley. Prearranged, private transportation is encouraged for larger groups (hotel shuttle services, pre-reserved Ubers XL, etc.). We recommend Timberline Tours for larger group travel: https://timberlinetours.com/ If you're staying in Vail Village or Lionshead, there is a lovely in-town bus that runs every few minutes, transporting passengers from one side of town to the other (approx. 3-5 min commute).
