We matched on Tinder and decided to go on a first date that turned into a whole adventure. After dinner, we walked around a park and then ended up driving around for hours, talking like we had known each other forever. That night was the start of something that’s grown over the last six and a half years into our favorite part of life. In May 2024, we got engaged—something we had talked about for a while. Andrew told me it would probably happen in the fall, so I wasn’t expecting anything anytime soon. While we were out of state visiting his family (something we do often), his mom suggested showing us a new walking park before we all went to dinner. Andrew and his dad pretended they didn’t want to go, but still got out of the car. A few minutes into the walk, in the middle of this beautiful new park, Andrew surprised me by getting down on one knee. It was perfect and completely unexpected. In 2022, our little family grew from three to four when we brought home Sophie, making Mattie a proud big sister. Together we love spending time with our families, our friends, and each other. We’re so excited to start this next chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
