Acadia National Park

Located 1 hour away from Bangor, ME, you can hike one of Maine's most beautiful landscapes, sit on Sand Beach and take a dip in the water, find outstanding views of the coast, see spectacular wildlife, and much more at Acadia National Park. While you're at it, stop by downtown Bar Harbor for some shopping and tasty treats!

Penobscot Narrows Bridge

Offering one of the best views of Penebscot Bay and much of costal Maine, the observatory in the western tower of this bridge is a unique feature of the area. Historic Fort Knox is directly adjacent to the bridge and is along a very popular route to Acadia National.

Young's Lobster Pound

There are countless places to grab a Maine lobster dinner but Young's has been a favorite of the Burke family for years. Belfast is a cute coastal town easily accessible from Newburgh along route 7 and Young's offers a unique setting. Go and enjoy their deck and BYOB!

Mt Desert Land & Garden Preserve

If you’re interested in heading toward Acadia National Park, consider a stroll in these wonderful gardens around the Bar Harbor area! Some require reservations, so make sure to take a look ahead of time.

Mason's Brewing Company

We love this brewery! Found just over the bridge from Bangor, you can sit inside or outside on the patio overlooking the river. With yummy pub food and craft beers, this is a great place to check out.

Evenrood's

If you're looking for more fine dining or simply a good drink, check out Evenroods. Established in an old bank, the atmosphere is particularly appealing.

Blaze Bangor

Fun little bistro in town with yummy fire roasted pizza, good beers, and indoor/outdoor seating. Found at the heart of downtown Bangor, you can walk around town and explore before or after visiting if you'd like.
