Brandon and Jessica have a fairly traditional love story when you look at the facts, but rather untraditional timing. The two first met in April of 2017 after Brandon had received a text from his cousin, Robin, that, "A really cute girl is visiting Tennessee, and you should go meet her." Meanwhile, Jessica's text from Robin read, "So my cousins are in the area. They're kind of shy momma's boys, but they're really funny, and you'll have a great time! Oh, and Brandon has a big beard!" This is when Jessica first learned of "Brandon Time". Being new in the city, she was excited to meet up with some friendly faces! Little did she know it would take the boys almost 4 more hours to finally meet up! Some might say it was love at first sight, but really it would take six more months of long, cross-country phone calls, day hikes and kayak outings, along with a couple pseudo-dates, before Brandon realized that this girl was here to stay! Fast-forward to October of 2017, now settled into Tennessee life, Brandon felt it was time for Jessica to get a true SEC experience. He planned an entire weekend for them to visit friends in Knoxville, see the Vols play, and drive through the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Jessica entered this weekend extremely confused on whether this was an extravagant first date or common Southern hospitality, but in typical Jessica fashion, she cleared that up within 24 hours of the trip. This is when Brandon realized that "Jessica's Time" moved much quicker and was much more straightforward. From that weekend on, they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend! They learned the nuances of one another's expectations and loved one another deeply. Adventure and laughter never left their relationship. Both of them thank God for truly blessing a firm foundation of a friendship across the country, to become a wonderful love story!
