Bride
Siyu grew up in Wuxi & Suzhou, China, before she embarked on her adventure across the Pacific ocean. Wandered from Ann Arbor to Salt Lake City, she then made a difficult decision to study a completely different field for graduate school...now sort of settling in New York City, for the time being. She watches sports only when Wolverines are playing, skis only (or prefer to) on the mountains of Utah, and walk so much only when in NYC...
Groom
Zhe grew up in Shenzhen, China, and moved to the U.S. with his family when he was 9. Over the next two decades, he journeyed from Chicago to Toronto to New York and is currently living and working in Salt Lake City. During his younger days Zhe was avidly into chess - even contemplated about becoming a professional chess player. Perhaps tired of sitting to much, these days Zhe has taken much more of an aptitude to outdoor activities. During warmer months he enjoys golfing, tennis, and hiking. In wintry seasons he enjoys skiing the Utah snow.
Parents of the Bride
Siyu's parents live in Wuxi, China - where they are flying all the way from for her wedding. Siyu's dad is an entrepreneur and a "creative" cook, while Siyu's mum takes pleasure running an organic farm and a little garden...Obviously, Siyu got her fashion sense from mum, and inner composure from her dad.
Parents of the Groom
Zhe's parents currently reside in Toronto. Dad - Chen (Carl): "Pastor, currently PHD of Theology candidate. He has this unquenchable thirst for learning and reading. I have always regarded him as a mentor in professional, spiritual and personal aspects of my life. He loved me like a father would and should. Not only does he love God, he has devoted the rest of his life to God." - Zhe Mom - Bei (Betty): "Matron of our household and a Proverbs 31 Mom (if you get my reference). Her words are few, but choiced and wise. Her actions are many and often unnoticed, just brings so much warmth and joy to those around her. She endured much and complained little. She's my hero" - Zhe
