Thank you for saving February 23, 2024 to attend our wedding. Due to recent circumstances, we have decided to elope this upcoming October 14, 2023. Your love and support are felt and greatly appreciated. We will miss your presence and will update our website with photos to share. In your typical 21st century love story, the stars aligned when Matt and Siv both swiped right on each other! Conversation was flowing via text, and they decided to meet for a beer at BlackStack Brewing in St. Paul after work. According to Matt, the moment he saw Siv drive into the parking lot in her Honda CRV, it was end game for him. They talked about their lives over a Sour and IPA, and decided they needed to get another round and continue the date. A couple hours later, their stomachs began rumbling, and it was decided that the date couldn't end just yet. They decided to go grab some sushi at a local restaurant, and before you know it, they were 6 hours into their first date! It was safe to say that they thoroughly enjoyed each other's company and decided that they just HAD to see each other again!

It was Siv's 28th birthday, and all she wanted to do was relax at home, drink wine, and make homemade sushi with Matt... however Matt had other plans. Matt was INSISTANT on going to get ice cream at a local shop in Stillwater and go for a walk down by the St. Croix River. Siv became irritated with Matt. Siv was in a walking boot, it was chilly out, and all she wanted to do was relax. But nope! They drove to Stillwater and went in search of ice cream. But guess what... the ice cream shop was closed for the season! This put a wrench in Matt's plans. Siv was becoming annoyed, and really just wanted to go home! Matt practically dragged Siv out of the car to go down to the river, and again, it was cold and Siv was in a walking boot. Matt made small talk with Siv down by the river, and Siv had had about just enough! As Siv began turning around to walk back to the car, and Matt grabbed her hand and had a very serious yet anxious look on his face. Matt began telling Siv how much he loved and cared for her, took something out of his shirt pocket, and then got down on one knee. Siv, of course, said YES!
