Our story

The Wedding Website of Sita Stanfield and Manny Manzer
A part of our story.. We can't exactly name what brought us into each other's lives, but we recognize how grateful we are to have met. The Divine play is always present. Both of us worked for the same environmental remediation company in Los Alamos, NM and were first introduced to each other as new hires at orientation. Our deep connection to each other, this land that holds us, and our greatest potential to love has continued to motivate our union.  We are so grateful to have your love behind us on this lifelong journey we are embarking on.
Question

Then What?

Answer

A few months after orientation Manny and Sita were excited to be assigned to lead a soil sampling project together and leaned on each other for direction and support. Sita was drawn to how personable and eager Manny was to laugh and connect with others, he was always making jokes and had a contagious joy about him. Manny was drawn to how easy it was to make her laugh and their one-of-a-kind deep conversations plus how thoughtful and kind Sita was to the people around her. They both took risks, including Manny's willingness to risk his life by putting Sita into the operator's seat of an excavator and skid-steer, and fortunately her elementary skills earned his approval. She actually is the first and only recipient awarded a diploma from Skid Steer University a made-up enterprise to which Manny is the Dean. They realized an even bigger risk however, was to let the other slip from their lives and so trusted the possibility of their connection. The project had its highs and lows but they built a strong friendship over the year as they took on the many challenges with laughter and a growing closeness. Life began to merge them closer and it wasn't long before they turned to each other for more than support at work, they began to share their joys, hobbies, and hearts. They have since found a home to rent in Santa Fe, and feel lucky to share it with their family including Manny's son David and their pup Targhee and three rescue birds. After the wedding they are looking forward to traveling internationally, with hopes to explore Peru!
