A wooded rustic estate on the waterfront. We will have assorted small watercraft available for use (canoes, SUPs, kayaks, and bodyboarding (you can swim)). The property has 18 holes of disc golf and a Maine beach (aka rocky/clam flat). There will be other yard games TBD.
There are lighthouses everywhere, if you want to be a true Maine Tourist go in search of all of them. (Bonus points if you run to the one Forrest Gump ran to). Also, 9/9 is Maine Open Lighthouse Day! Go to Owl's Head, Marshal Point, Monhegan (take a boat), or Pemaquid (this one is farther but taller than the other two tiny ones near camp). They're only open once a year!
We aren't the best tour guides but All-Trails could help. The best views are probably Rockland Breakwater, Mount Battie, and Beech Hill.
Rockland is about 20 minutes away from camp. It has a vibrant art scene with lots of galleries and museums. You can also walk the mile out on the Rockland Breakwater to the lighthouse.
There are many schooners on this part of the coast to go toodle about in Penobscot Bay.
Go get a famous lobster roll from McLoons.
