Amanda and Tommy first met in 2014 on a winter cabin trip with friends in Maine. They noticed each other from afar. They began to build a friendship but little did they know it was the beginning of a special friendship. A month after the trip, they ran into each other at the mall as Amanda was getting off of work. As Amanda came down the escalator the world felt like it was slowing down for Tommy. As soon as they came face to face it was like no one else was in the mall, just them. After staring at each other for about 30 seconds, they both walked away without saying a single word. Both of them felt a connection that left them speechless. 2 minutes later Tommy messaged Amanda, apologizing for the awkward encounter and they laughed about it over and over. Their friendship was quiet for a little while. They saw each other at parties from time to time but it wasn’t until they went to a music festival in 2016 that brought their friendship to a bond neither of them experienced before. They went from barely talking to talking almost daily. As that summer came to a close it was time for Amanda to go back to school as a commuter. Tommy generously offered to take Amanda into the city since it was not too far from his work at the time. After the first month of driving together they instantly became best friends. They talked and bonded over everything from the moon to their families and everything in between. It was during those long car rides that feelings started to develop. At first neither one told the other but it soon became very obvious that they had feelings that grew stronger over time. Then finally they officially started dating on October 8th, 2018. As soon as they began dating they traveled together to experience new places in the world. They quickly fell in love. They survived a pandemic, where Amanda basically moved in, and learned to teach/work side by side. Then Amanda officially moved in 2021. And the rest is history.
