Matron of Honor
I met this sweet eclair in grad school in Ruston, LA. I'd like to take this moment to thank GLOB we are somehow both still alive following those two years. Thought she was a weirdo when I first met her. Then I quickly realized she was literally me but taller. Saw that skull bone head on her bicycle handlebar and that was it. I owe my sanity and any Weiner dog or picnic memorabilia I can find to her. ~!*LYLAS*!~
Best Man
Dave and I grew up together through Boy Scouts and shenanigans. We weren't close friends until he moved up to NMU, where we spent countless weekends together. From there the chaos began. Dave has been a great friend, always reliable and there when you need him. I'm proud to call him my best man.
Bridesmaid
Megan Marigold and I went to high school together. We became inseparable the day we ate Subway together. Her parents probably should have claimed me on their taxes since I was there so much. Meg always let me eat those gdang fantastic vanilla cookies at her house so I owe her my life, really.
Groomsman
Kirk and I went to school together, from middle school on. We bonded closely as members of the greatest offensive line of all time. Somehow we didn't put the Chinese buffet out of business, but we really tried. Kirk is hardworking, dependable, and it's no surprise he's created a beautiful family.
Bridesmaid
Ashley Byykks, the love of my dang life who adores pizza, pasta, socks, and Harry Potter as much as or maybe even more than me. Ashley and I went to high school together and have something good going here.
Groomsman
Jake and I spent a lot of time together throughout high school coursework. We were also on the track team together. He put up with me while rooming together for the first two years of college, a feat that shouldn't be underestimated. We used to get crushed playing IM tennis doubles, but never quit. A good friend to live nearby, we get to play disc golf and tennis on occasion.
Bridesmaid
Callie and Meg are sisters! Callie is Megan's older sister. We went to high school together and bonded DANG GOOD for the first time during volleyball season circa 2005/2006? Would do anything to share chicken nuggets with her on any given day. Please donate to our chicken nugget cause. Thank you in advance.
Groomsman
Cedric and I became great friends working together at the Rockhouse Bar & Grille. We bonded quickly and ended up as roommates. Some of my favorite days were rooming with him, having boatyard parties and being let down by the Lions time and time again. He's always passionate about his work, and hustles more than anyone I know. I've learned a lot from him and am fortunate to have met the guy.
Bridesmaid
Liz is Ted's sister! Family functions are easier with these dang Patchel girls around. Liz gives me all the best low-down on shopping sales and THAT IS IMPORTANT.
Groomsman
Matt and I grew close through football and track in high school. Pretending to need to go to the mall just so we could eat Flaming Wok is a favorite pastime of ours. My La Liga team is better than his, but he's a good sport about it. While we have spent a majority of the past few years living very far apart, he's always excited to talk and listen. He never has a mean thing to say about anyone, and I'm happy to call him a good friend.
Bridesmaid
Kathy is Ted's youngest sister! She knows how to properly hold a white wine glass and taught me how to open a champagne bottle without it exploding everywhere. Cheers to that!
Groomsman
Brandon and I went to high school together, and our friends circles sometimes overlapped. We've gotten much closer over the past few years, bonding over ice fishing trips, disc golf, and indoor soccer league. He's very passionate about brewing beer, which I'm always happy to sample. Definitely a wildcard, he brings a lot of fun and energy to everything he does.
Bridesmaid
Kristen is also Ted's sister! She's the queen of board games and the Rubik's cube. We bond exceptionally well over bread, pasta, and cheesecake. That's really all you can ask for in life, right?
Groomsman
Jack and I go back way further than I can even remember. Between backyard football, boy scouts, school together, and high school sports, we spent a lot of time together. He's always a million miles away, but every time we catch up it's seamless. I know that if I ever need someone to listen to or give advice, he's always available. He's created an awesome life for himself and made a wonderful family. He also takes me fishing sometimes, even though I might be the worst fisherman of all time. A great friend to have, and an all around good dude.
