While Tammy and Patrick were in the talking stage, Tammy mentioned going to Disneyland and Patrick said, "There's reservation's open I can meet you there!" Once they agreed to meet at Disneyland that evening, Tammy and Patrick became extremely nervous. However, the moment they saw the other outside of Space Mountain, all of that vanished away. They walked off to get a churro then hopped over to California Adventure, where Patrick agreed to go on Guardians, even though he was scared to go on it, but he felt fine once he held Tammy's hand. They ended up spending the rest of the night together going on rides all the way until the park closed. That was just the beginning.
After months of planning, the day started off with Patrick taking Tammy on a surprise adventure. The couple went to a local Paso Robles farm where they played with farm animals. Tammy was enjoying the experience so much that she didn't want to leave, but Patrick was urging her it was time to go as they had to get ready for a fancy dinner. As they were getting ready, Tammy said there was plenty of time before dinner and her hair would hair dry before then, but Patrick insisted she dry her hair as they were going to "stop for a glass of wine" before dinner at their favorite vineyard. Once they arrived at the vineyard, Patrick began to get really nervous and after getting their wine, Patrick chugged his and told Tammy to drink faster and asked if she needed help so they could walk around the vineyard. Patrick said, "Let's walk over to the big oak tree where they have weddings, to see if we want to get married here one day." The couple walked over to the oak tree and waiting on the stage was a scrapbook Patrick made featuring photos of the couple together throughout their adventures. The wind had blown the scrapbook open with pictures of the couple, but Tammy still didn't realize what was going on. Patrick then took Tammy by the hands and looked in her eyes and started telling her his proposal speech. Patrick then got on one knee and said, “Will you marry me?” Tammy said, “Yes!” The couple then did an hour long engagement photoshoot with the two photographers Patrick had hired and were hiding while capturing the proposal. The couple then went on to a celebratory dinner as a newly engaged couple.
