The year was 2020, masks were all the rage. The world was upside down, but amidst the chaos, Siohni and Ulises stumbled into each others'.......Bumble profiles. Swiping right was the obvious choice in both their hearts. They agreed to meet, a risky endeavor in the age of Covid. Their first date was at the Texas State Fair. They drove through the fairgrounds sharing smiles and flirting over corn dogs and fried Oreos. Despite the strange circumstances, a spark ignited. As restrictions relaxed, their time together grew. They wandered through the flower fields of the Dallas Arboretum, wrote letters back and forth when they were apart, and danced the nights away at Latin clubs when they reunited. Their adventures took them to romantic painting classes, candlelit concerts, Yellowstone park, mysterious caverns, and tubing down the rivers of Texas. As their Love grew, they decided to move in together. They adopted their quirky little tortoise, Oogi. They’d spend evenings watching him wander across their home, a reminder to savor each moment. Finally, on a sunny winter day, on the white sands of Destin, Ulises got on his knee. The sun cast a golden glow on his face as he poured his heart out. "Will you marry me?" he asked, voice trembling with emotion. With tears welling up, "Yes," Siohni whispered. As they embraced, the world faded away.
