Although we were excited for our Winter Wonderland wedding on December 4th, due to COVID-19 we had to deal with continuous (and understandable) changes from our original venue. In order to plan for our special day without the worry of having to continually make adjustments, we decided to move our wedding date up and change the location. We understand that these changes may mean that some loved ones may not be able to attend, but this is what worked best for us. Thank you for your love, support, and understanding. Corey and Siobhan had been spending a week vacation in Cocoa Beach, Florida with their good friends Tom and Sara. Corey had kept the ring in his backpack for over a week while in Disney World for work and was constantly checking on it to ensure it didn't magically disappear. Corey intended to propose during the first day or two upon arriving in Cocoa Beach, but unfortunately the weather didn't oblige. Thursday the 10th finally brought the perfect weather for the perfect moment. With the help of Sara asking Siobhan if she would like to put on a nice sundress so we can all take pictures down by beach while the sun is beginning to set, the plan was in motion. Siobhan informed Corey that Sara wanted to put on something nice for pictures down by the beach. True to his typical self to sell the moment as nothing more than just pictures, Corey rolled his eyes about the picture idea in which Siobhan responded, "Don't roll your eyes at me, it's Sara's idea" (Something we laughed about after). We walked from the condo down to the beach. Corey walking awkwardly due to the ring case bulging from his right short pocket and trying to not have Siobhan notice. Tom and Sara took their pictures first and then it was our turn. Tom took a couple pictures before Corey got down on one knee, slightly choked up, with the Atlantic Ocean in the background, and the love of his life directly in front of him. Corey asked Siobhan to marry him with a note in the ring case also saying "I love you; Will you marry me?" (A joke because of the many nursing school papers Corey would proof read for Siobhan and the amount of semi-colons she would use. Like seriously, one paper would have more semi-colons than Corey has used his entire life). Anyways...back to the proposal! Siobhan instantly breaks down into happy tears and a "yes!" This was followed by a kiss and embrace to the cheers of Tom, Sara, and two surfer dudes who happened to see the moment. A moment we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
