Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

There will be a short ceremony taking place outdoors, immediately followed by cocktail hour and the reception. All events will be taking place in the same location, The Lakehouse, which is air-conditioned. The Lakehouse is located partially on land and over Lake Harold, boasting beautiful waterfront view of the White Mountains.

What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm. Doors will open at 5:00 pm and all guests are asked to be seated 10 minutes before the ceremony starts.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

There has been a block of rooms at Owls Nest Resort, with accommodations that include houses, condominiums, cottages, and hotel rooms. The Gambrel and Contemporary houses come with a full kitchen, living room, and dining area and sleep up to 10-12 guests. The Nano cottages are 1 bedroom with an efficient kitchen and open living area with a pull-out sofa. Lakeside Village Suites overlook Lake Harold and are 2-bedroom, 2 bathrooms, with a full kitchen and laundry. Lakeside Village Guest Rooms offer two queen beds and a full bathroom. The Lafayette Lodge is brand new and offers king rooms or 2 queen beds. On-site dining options include Panorama Six82, Slice Pizzeria, Hook, and Butch’s Brooklyn Deli and Grocery. A block of rooms has also been set aside at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Plymouth White Mountains with amenities which include an indoor pool, fitness center, and free continental breakfast. There is a New Hampshire Liquor Store and Market Basket within walking distance with many other stores and restaurants close by. No 2 night stay is required, however early check-in is not guaranteed. How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will be provided to and from the wedding for those staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. The shuttles will depart at 4:45 pm and return at 10:15 pm and 11 pm. If you choose to drive, there is free parking on-site. For those staying on-site at Owl’s Nest Resort, the venue is within walking distance, or you may choose to drive and park on-site. For those who arrive early to the venue, there is a restaurant/bar within walking distance of the venue.

Will there be any other events to attend during the wedding weekend?

Answer

There will be a welcome reception on Thursday evening from 7:30-11:00 pm at the Sunset Pavilion on-site at Owl’s Nest Resort, with scenic views of Franconia Notch in the distance. Light hors d’oueuvers will be provided and there is a cash bar. If you are staying on-site at Owl’s Nest amenities include golf, tennis, pickleball, and a fitness center. There is an outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and poolside restaurant and bar. Also, Lake Harold, a man-made lake, with water activities such as kayaks and paddle boards.
