How we met is quickly becoming the way the world meets, dating apps. According to a recent study, nearly 40% of new couples meet online, a trend with no sign of slowing down. Online dating companies are working hard to create the perfect algorithm for matching people, but it’s not the science of computers that will find a perfect match, that would be chemistry. Our first date would be amazing but would also start late. Siobhan, who at the time was living on Long Island but visiting with her sister in NYC, considered rescheduling the date, a move that could have jeopardized the whole thing. But I waited patiently for her arrival and when she finally walked through the door I knew it was worth it. A beautiful girl, good conversation, would end at a night club dancing the night away, not the typical first date. We continued to see each other, going back and forth to/from NYC/Long Island, but within a few months we decided to take a big step and move in together. The rest, as they say, is history and we cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with you all.
