We're getting married!

Plastered on the window of the UMN Hillel building were the words "Meet your Spouse at the Hillel House". Yeah, right! As active members of their respective Jewish communites in Minneapolis and Chicago, involvement in Hillel was the obvious step for both Allie and Dylan in their college careers. Beginning in 2013, freshman representative Dylan, and 'sophisticated' (as Dylan described) vice president Allie went to many programs across their two years together. They struck up a friendship. Little did they know, this would be the foundation of an entire lifetime together.

In 2016, Allie began her career as the camp director of her day camp, Camp Olami. A few years later, Dylan became the assistant director at his camp, OSRUI in Oconomowoc. As the entire world flipped on its head amidst a global pandemic, Dylan & Allie began to message each other for professional advice, complaints about the world, recipes, and more. Okay, you got us, maybe just a reason to chat!

Over the years, Dylan and Allie garnered many mutual friends; all of whom were secretly (maybe not so quietly) plotting to set the two of them up. Fast forward to November of 2021, Allie and Dylan were "conveniently" asked to walk down the aisle together at their mutual friends' wedding, and the rest was history. Starting just a couple weeks later, trips on I94 began between Chicago and Minneapolis. Before they knew it, they were all in; talking about building a life together. Just nine months later, Dylan moved to Minneapolis and weekend trips became date nights, grocery runs, walks around the lake, and trips around the world.

It was clear to Dylan and Allie from early on that this was going to be a lifelong relationship, so it was no surprise when they made it official. Anyone who knew Allie as a kid, or let's face it, as an adult too knows she loves to sing. While her career path isn't leading her down Broadway, she can still fulfill her dream and become a Singer. At the peace garden at Lake Harriet, Dylan got down on one knee and asked Allie to marry him. They bought a house in August of 2024 and cannot wait to continue their journey celebrating on September 7 with you!
