For our out of town guests, we highly recommend renting a car to explore the region over the weekend. There are also shuttle services to Sonoma from the major airports, and Uber/Lyft/Taxis are relatively easy to come by in Sonoma proper. We have reserved a room block at the Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn, see below for more information. We realize that October is Harvest season in Sonoma, so lodging is more expensive than usual. We recommend booking as soon as possible to secure the best price and ensure you're able to stay close to the action in downtown Sonoma! If Sonoma prices are looking too steep, Petaluma and Napa are great options just 20 minutes away from Sonoma that will have more budget-friendly lodging options. We are happy to make additional recommendations, just reach out if you need a hand! If you're looking for the finest that Sonoma Valley has to offer - MacArthur Place, Carneros Resort and Spa, and Stanly Ranch are stunning options.

SFO is the largest Bay Area airport and is going to offer the most flights at likely the best pricing. SFO is about a 90 minute drive from Sonoma depending on traffic.

Oakland Airport is about an hour drive from downtown Sonoma and is a hub for carriers like Southwest and Spirit.

Sacramento (SAC)

Sacramento airport is just over an hour's drive from Sonoma and is a great option too and helps you avoid some of the San Francisco traffic! United and American have direct flights from O'Hare to SAC.
