We request that our guests please plan to take a COVID-19 test prior to attending our wedding, ideally within 48 hours of our ceremony. Masks will not be required, but we respect your decision to wear one if you so choose! If you have been exposed to COVID-19, are experiencing any symptoms, or have tested positive for COVID-19 within two weeks of our wedding date, please contact us directly.
During the summer in Chicago, the best way to get around the city is on foot, especially downtown. If you’re feeling especially adventurous, you may even want to hop on a Divvy bike, which are available for rent right on the sidewalk nearly everywhere you look. If you’d like to check out other neighborhoods (or avoid the heat!), look no further than Chicago’s public transit system. The CTA has several trains and many bus lines that will get you anywhere you’d like to go. You can purchase a ticket (for use on both trains and buses) from a kiosk at any train stop, including the ones at the airports. There are also multiple types of passes to choose from, including day passes and single-use. There is no need to rent a car unless you really, really want to. There’s also always regular old cabs, Ubers, and Lyfts for your commuting pleasure.
At the time of this writing, our venue does not have an operational garage or valet parking available. If you plan to drive to our wedding, there are several self-parking options available, with the closest parking garage (Tower Self Park) located at 211 W. Adams St., less than one block from our venue. There are also several other parking garage options within walking distance of our venue, as well as street parking.
Our wedding will be held in an evening ballroom setting, so formal attire is preferred (e.g., dark suits for the gents, long dresses for the ladies). Tuxedos and gowns are welcome but not required. Please no jeans, khakis, or sundresses.
Please let us know as soon as possible so we can inform the venue. There is an option to notify us on the RSVP page! We want you to have something delicious to eat at our wedding that fits your dietary restrictions!
#sinclairsinchicago has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Please use our hashtag in your social media posts so all of our guests’ captured moments are just one click away!
Yes, and our venue, known as the W - City Center, is the one downtown at 172 W. Adams Street. The W - Lakeshore is on Lake Shore Drive. Basically, if you can see Lake Michigan, you’re in the wrong place!
Weber Grill is about one mile northeast of the W on the northwest corner of State Street and Grand Avenue. There are a number of ways to get there: By train: The quickest way to get there is to walk to the Red Line stop at State and Monroe and take the train north (toward Howard) to the Grand stop. Weber Grill is on top of the Grand stop. By bus: You can also walk three blocks east of the W to the bus stop on the northwest corner of Adams and Dearborn, where you can pick up the 22 and 36 buses. If taking the 22, get off at the Grand stop, then walk one block east to State Street. If taking the 36, get off at the Grand stop and cross to the north side of the street. By car: You can also taxi, Lyft, Uber, or drive yourself! It’s a 5-10 minute ride. Walk: If you’re up for it and have proper footwear, it’s not a bad walk — just slightly over one mile!
Please reach out to Jenn or Dan directly! It’s likely others are wondering the same thing, so we’ll post your question and answer here.
